STATEMENT ON HYGIENE AND CLEANING PROTOCOL

At AYANA Midplaza JAKARTA, it is our daily goal to ensure that our hotels provide a comfortable and safe environment for our guests and Associates. Our standard health and safety measures are designed to provide a safe and clean environment, and we will remain diligent to continue those measures every day.
Our mission is to make hotel travel possible for all, and that becomes especially important during times of uncertainty.
We take standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and are taking steps to ensure the safety of our guests and Associates. AYANA Midplaza JAKARTA Hotel has been closely monitoring to be in compliance with the Indonesia Public Health Authority / Ministry of Health Authority and World Health Organization recommendations regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Our hotel’s health and safety measures are designed to address a broad spectrum of viruses, including all processes from handwashing, hygiene, cleaning product specifications, and cleaning procedures.
As AYANA Midplaza JAKARTA (AMJ), we are implementing SOP’s that cover all areas to ensure the hygiene and experience of our guests start from knowledge/training of Hotel’s staff, arrival, check-in, room cleanliness, dining, food handling, and departure.
AYANA Midplaza JAKARTA Team Member Personal Hygiene

Proper and frequent handwashing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses or germs. Our team members will ensure to always keep to good personal hygiene.
In our daily meetings, our teams are reminded that cleanliness starts with this simple act. It's important for their health and that of our guests.
Ongoing training: In addition to training on housekeeping and hygiene protocols, all hotel Associates are also trained on COVID-19 awareness.
Real-time information: AYANA Midplaza JAKARTA management team is on standby 24/7 and will monitor the latest news and information to prepare for and respond to COVID-19 if needed, and to support the hotel and its staff and guests.
Cleaning products and protocols: We work with our suppliers to make sure the hotel can procure virus-killing products approved by International or Local Health Authorities and are provided with the protective equipment they need for their operations.
Specific steps AYANA Midplaza JAKARTA is taking include:

Arrivals: Body temperature checks are being conducted at all entry points for guests, team members and suppliers. All staff members wear face masks. Hand sanitizer dispensers are placed at key guest and team member entrances and public areas (i.e. lobby reception, lifts, restaurants, etc.).
Room Check-In and Check-Out: Each desk at Reception area is being sanitized once per hour. Hand sanitizers are available at Reception desks. Room keys are being sanitized prior to being given to guests. Face masks are being worn by all staff members. Disinfection treatment using proper fogging machine after guest’s check-out from guest rooms. Social distancing is being followed by each AYANA Hotel team member when in direct contact with guests.
Housekeeping Services: High touch areas such as door handle, remote control, desk, safety box, master switches are sanitized thoroughly. Balcony doors are always open during room cleaning. Decorative cushions and bed runners have been removed from all the rooms. All chinaware and cutleries available in the guest rooms are cleaned and sanitized. Housekeeping services like bedlinen change and room cleaning are done upon request only. We provide electronic guest directory including restaurant and In Room Dining menus. Guest rooms, outlets, meeting rooms, public areas and back areas are being frequently sanitized with a proper fogging machine. Frequent pest control treatment by professional pest control company.
Dining and food handling: Room service food orders are being delivered to guest’s room with hygiene protocol standard Social distancing protocol is in place between guests, culinary and waiting staff. Restaurant seating plan offers ample space between the dining tables. Restaurant menus, bill folders are sanitized prior to being given to guests. Air filters are placed in meeting rooms, gym and restaurants. We implement hygiene and food safety based on HACCP standard. Our hotel is HACCP certified (International certification).
Public Spaces: Our hotel has increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in public spaces, with a focus on the counter at the front desk, elevators, door handles, public bathrooms, etc.
Back of House: In the spaces where Associates work “behind the scenes” AYANA Midplaza JAKARTA increased the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas like associate entrance, locker rooms, laundry rooms, staff canteen, employee praying room and staff offices.
