Phinisi have crossed these waters for centuries, built by hand in South Sulawesi.
Lako Di'a sails them still, with dragons on shore, mantas below, and the gentle hum of the wind in her sails.

Lako Di'a, the good boat
Lako Di'a means good boat.
A wish for fair winds and a journey worth remembering.
She sails from Waecicu Beach
into one of the seven New Wonders of Nature.
Dragons on Rinca and Komodo,
the only two islands in the world where they still walk wild.
Manta rays in the channels at Makassar.
Reef sharks and Napoleon wrasse on the walls at Gili Lawa.
Pink sand at Pantai Merah.
At dusk over Kalong, thousands of fruit bats crossing the sky toward Flores.

Share the journey
Share the voyage: book a cabin, step aboard, and surrender the itinerary to the crew for one night or two. In one night, stand on Padar before the crowds, wade the pink coral beach, and watch the bats darken the Kalong sky. The second night adds the manta channels and a barely-there sandbank in the middle of the Flores Sea.

A DAY ABOARD
Morning
Every day at sea is a series of invitations: sunrise yoga on the bow, then snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboards off the stern at every stop. Our dive guides know exactly where the mantas run and where Gili Lawa's reef walls drop into the dark.

Sundown
As the light softens, the upper deck becomes the bar, and after dinner the mainsail becomes the screen: popcorn, low tables, the Flores Sea for surround sound. The chef plates what the islands gave, and out here, they always give generously.

Evenings
At dusk, fruit bats stream toward Flores in their thousands. By dark, the Milky Way takes over, crowded with stars the mainland never gets to see. There are 16 crew for 18 guests, so ask for what you want and have it delivered under an unforgettable sky.

CABINS
Three classes across nine cabins

CABINS
Nine cabins across three decks, each with its own relationship to the water. From the upper deck, the horizon. From the middle, the shelter of the hull. And from the lower deck, the sea, close enough to fall asleep to.
The islands look better from a phinisi.
